Carmila Department of Communities Additional Pop Up

Isaac Regional Council advises Carmila residents that the Department of Communities and Red Cross personnel will be delivering an additional pop up support service on Friday April 21.

The pop up will provide access to paper based financial assistance applications and other support services.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

  • If you have been without power, gas or water for more than 5 days, you may be eligible for a payment of $150 per person, or up to $750 for a family of 5 or more.

  • Applications can be made at www.qld.gov.au/community or by calling the Community Recovery Hotline 1800 173 349.

  • Primary producers in Isaac can apply for:

  • Freight subsidies up to $5000 and access concessional loans up to $250,000 for direct damage and working capital support.

  • Grants of up to $25,000 for recovery efforts to pay for clean-up and restoration costs arising out of direct damage.

  • Low-interest Natural Disaster Assistance and Essential Working Capital Loans.

IDENTIFICATION

If you would like to make an application at the Pop Up centre, please be advised of the following identification requirements by the Queensland Government:

  • We need to know who you are and where you live before we can help you. When making a claim for assistance please bring all of these documents with you:

    • Drivers licence or other photo identification

    • Medicare card showing members of your family

  • A recent rates notice, electricity or other account showing your current address.
