Belyando Ave-Griffin St fence replacement - construction commences 7 January
Isaac Regional Council advises Town Square business operators and Moranbah residents that it will be commencing the replacement of the shade cloth fence in Griffin St and Belyando Ave with a permanent solution.
Construction work will commence on Monday, 7 January with the project expected to be completed prior to the end of January.
All efforts will be made to minimise disruption to the utility and parking area behind Town Square businesses and adjacent footpaths on Belyando Ave and Griffin St during these works.
Council requests that people and vehicles remain clear of construction areas during this time for safety reasons.
The temporary fencing is being replaced by a modular fencing solution which provides a visual result similar to that of a block wall.
The new wall will provide screening of the parking/utility area behind Town Square businesses, whilst also considering the security concerns expressed by business operators.
The previous block wall was demolished for safety reasons after a large section of the structure along Belyando Ave collapsed during the February 2018 severe storm event.
