Fashion, friends and fun times raced home a winner

Impressive racing, stylish fashion and high spirits combined to create a memorable afternoon for the Clermont community at Pepperina Park on Saturday July 28.

The much anticipated Tony Kenny Memorial Clermont Cup brought a flurry of colour and flair to town with quality thoroughbreds and the hotly contested fashions on the field.

Mayor Anne Baker said the annual event was a treasured date on the community’s calendar and had once again attracted a large, enthusiastic crowd.

"Clermont races, like all our regional races, embrace some of the best things about our rural lifestyles,” Mayor Baker said.

“We are fortunate to have these opportunities to get a little glammed up and enjoy first class racing, good food, and fun times with family and friends.

“Congratulations must go to the Clermont Race Club and event organisers for their tireless commitment and effort which has resulted in another very successful event.”
