Moranbah Water Supply Advisory
Isaac Regional Council advises that some Moranbah households and businesses may be experiencing instances of yellowish water.
This is due to issues with Manganese in the raw water. The water treatment plant is treating the water to a high standard but some soluble colour remains in the water supplied to the network. The impact is cosmetic only as Manganese is harmless.
Council is working the resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Households and businesses experiencing this issue are encouraged to flush their pipes by running a tap until the water clears.
Residents are encouraged to use this water on lawns, gardens and to wash the car to ensure it is not wasted.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.
