Remission for 16-Day event for Clermont water users

Property owners in Clermont can expect to see a credit applied to their next water notice to recognise the recent period of exceptional circumstances as discussed at last year’s Clermont Water InfoShare.

These notices are expected to be mailed from February 12, 2019.

Council will apply the remission as a financial adjustment to the property owner’s water account.

How are we doing this? The number of days the event lasted, divided by the number of days in the year, multiplied by the normal charge for the service.

In the case at Clermont, this event lasted 16 days.

If the water account has been paid in full, a credit will be applied to the property and recognised on a subsequent notice.

A factsheet outlining an update to Clermont’s water upgrades and the remission will be distributed via Australia Post from February 8, 2019. It will be available on the website today, January 31 at and featured in tomorrow’s Clermont Rag which is available at the local newsagency and online on Council’s website.

If you have any questions in relation to the remission please call us on 1300 47 22 27. The payable water notice is for the period July 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. Residents are encouraged to pay before 5pm on March 15, 2019.
