Skate into holiday action

Young people across the region will get the opportunity to learn and improve their skateboarding skills these school holidays.

From today until this Saturday, the workshops will provide coaching by professional skaters for young people new to skateboarding through to the experienced rider.

Acting Mayor Kelly Vea Vea said the workshops would help youth to learn and improve their skating skills and bring them to the next level.

“Isaac Regional Council is proud to support the Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative to host the Skate Tour in our region,” Cr Vea Vea said.

“These workshops will be a great opportunity for the youth in our communities to get involved and learn from professionals.”

This is the fourth skateboard tour conducted through the Isaac Region and is thanks to the Isaac Community Grants program, which funds local events and activities that benefit our people and communities.
