Water Restrictions Advisory - Clermont

Isaac Regional Council advises Clermont residents that Level 2 Water Restrictions have been imposed due a fault with the automatic control system at the Water Treatment Plant. Council crews are working to promptly resolve the issue and will review the need for restrictions daily. Council is running the treatment plant to ensure supply to the Clermont community is maintained but at a much lower volume than normal.

Level 2 Water Restrictions are:
Private gardens and lawns

  • No watering on any day between 9am and 5pm.
  • Watering is permitted 5am to 9am and 5pm to 9pm on watering days with a:
    • Hand-held hose
    • Automated Irrigation System (garden beds only, no grassed areas)
    • Watering can or bucket

Swimming pools and spas

  • Private: New and existing swimming pools, spas and portable wading pools must only be filled or topped up to their minimum operating level.
  • Public: New and existing swimming pools, spas and portable wading pools must only be filled or topped up to their minimum operating level.

Vehicles and boats

  • Water may be used to clean vehicles and boats by means of:
    • A hand-held hose to initially wet or rinse after washing.
    • Watering can or bucket.
    • Commercial car wash facility.
    • Vehicles and boats must be washed on grassed areas where possible.
    • Outboard motors may be flushed clean after use.

Paved areas, driveways, external walls and windows

  • Water must not be used to clean paved areas, driveways, external walls and windows except by means of a:
    • Watering can or bucket.
  • Water maybe used to wash decks, and patios.

Commercial businesses

  • Water may be used in commercial businesses provided:
    • Water is used efficiently by means of a hand-held hose or bucket.
    • Equipment that relies on a water supply for its safe and efficient operation is used so as to prevent wastage.
