An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Contracting Facilitator to join our Contracts and Procurement team. Reporting to the Manager Contracts & Procurement, this position is responsible for facilitating and managing Isaac Regional Council procurement processes and contracts across Council.
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Bring a solid understanding of procurement and contract management best practices, ideally within a public sector environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with confidence.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve positive procurement outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with high-level interpersonal, written, and verbal skills to influence and inform.
- Show initiative and sound judgment to resolve issues and make decisions independently when required.
- Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to navigate complex procurement challenges.
- Be tech-savvy, with experience using electronic document management systems, finance systems, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Uphold professionalism and deliver responsive, customer-focused support to internal and external clients.
- Understand contracts, tendering processes, and compliance requirements, including relevant legislation and policies.
- Ideally bring experience in Local Government procurement and contract management (highly regarded).
If you are successful in this position, you will receive:
- Salary $82,791.82 - $97,373.54 per annum (dependent on skills and ability)
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
