Isaac is made up of 58,862 square kilometres of fertile plains, rich soils, beaches and coal mines in the mineral-rich Bowen Basin.
The region’s towns are vibrant, friendly country communities boasting modern and convenient services with plenty to see and do. Our region’s determined history is showcased in our towns from the modern mining towns of Moranbah, Middlemount, Dysart and Glenden to the long-standing towns of Clermont, Nebo and St Lawrence and the coastal communities and rural localities.
The Isaac region is home to 20,940 residents, although an additional 10,580 resource sector workers travel here and are housed in temporary accommodation. At any one time, the full-time equivalent population in the Isaac region is estimated at 31,835.
