Isaac Regional Council wishes to update residents in relation to the water park at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre.
Thanks to the Queensland Government, the replacement of the aged water park can get underway this year.
The tender has been awarded for construction for the water park replacement which will see a range of additions.
Geotechnical investigations started in March 2022 where the contractor will do investigations of the soil and base materials under the park.
Construction will begin following the outcome to the inspection.
Hopefully there are limited project delays and the new water park will be ready for the Isaac region’s kids next summer season.
This project follows more than 260 responses during community consultations in 2020-21.
The $1.2 million project was made possible through the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the construction of these works and thanks the community for its ongoing patience.
