Centenary Park Redevelopment - Update

Council would like to thank the Clermont community for being patient as site improvements are delivered in Centenary Park. Works to implement the Centenary Park Master Plan (adopted by Council May 2015) began in July 2016 with the addition of new shade structures, picnic settings, and barbeques in the central area of the park. Further improvements will occur in the coming years as funds become available.

Hoods Lagoon Boardwalks Replacement

Hoods Lagoon Boardwalk Replacement

The Hoods Lagoon Boardwalk replacement is now complete. Council committed funding in excess of $0.5M to the replacement of both boardwalks during 2016. The project included removal of existing boardwalks, completion of new western and eastern boardwalks, and construction of a new gazebo structure. Thank you to the Clermont community for their patience while the project was underway.

Enjoy long-term improvements to this natural, historical and recreational area in Clermont.

The Lagoon now has better usage areas due to earthworks levelling the banks, installing bank retaining walls for erosion control, revegetation, and improving water health by installing three aerators.

The works commenced in February and extended to June 2015.  The 2015/16 Budget has provided avenues to continue rejuvenating this important community area.
