Isaac Regional Council’s Regional Library Service holds collections of historical, original items of local significance in each of its eight libraries.
Council contracted a Museum Development Officer using funds from a RADF grant to perform a Significance Assessment on these collections in 2010. From this document a Collection Policy and a Gift/Donation Form were developed:
Original Materials Collection Significance Assessment 2010 (PDF, 2.9 MB)
Original Materials Collection Policy (PDF, 360.4 KB)
Donations or Gift Agreement Form (PDF, 101KB)
The Original Materials Collections currently housed in each of the libraries tell the stories of our very diverse communities. The intention is to preserve, digitise and catalogue the collections and eventually to have them accessible via the online public access catalogue.
