Join the library
Welcome to Isaac Regional Council Libraries
Library membership is free to all residents of Isaac Regional Council and surrounding areas, i.e. Mackay Regional Council and Central Highlands Regional Council. Adults (over 18) can simply bring current identification to any of our libraries to join. Children and young people under 18 can join the library when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must also be a library member and provide identification. Children 0-12 years of age must be supervised by a carer/caregiver at all times whilst in the library or when attending an organised children’s activity.
A temporary membership is available for two (2) months, after which time proof of residency is required to be verified by Isaac Library Staff.
To become a full member please visit your local Isaac Library with two forms of identification e.g.:
- Photographic identification e.g.
- Australia Drivers Licence or
- Australian passport and
- Evidence of residency (must be an official document that shows residential address). This can be, but is not limited to one of the following documents;
- Rates notice
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Telephone or electricity account or
- Rental agreement
Online membership
With an online membership you can access online resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eVideos - as well as other eResources and databases.
You may join the library with an online membership here after accepting the membership conditions and privacy statement and completing the online form. A welcome email will be sent providing you with a membership number and temporary password. Your membership card can be collected from your nearest library upon presentation of ID and proof of residential address.
