Isaac Regional Council would like to advise residents kerbside bin collection is business as usual, including public holidays, in the region.

Here’s some residential bin day reminder tips:

  • Remember to place bins at the kerb by 6am on collection day
  • Leave at least 1m between bins
  • Ensure lids are fully closed
  • Ensure bins weigh less than 80kg

While residents are spending more time at home, Council is reminding residents to hold onto non-urgent waste for now unless it is essential, adhering to health and safety directions.

Our Waste Management Facilities are currently experiencing extensive wait times, as our dedicated and hard-working staff are committed to keeping you safe and adhering to COVID-19 related requirements.

In the meantime, when it comes to preparing for bin days, please remember what to place in the red lid bin:

  • General household waste
  • Non-recyclable plastic
  • Green waste

For the yellow lid bin, the following recycling tips are to remove lids, rinse containers & place items loosely then place the following:

  • Cardboard boxes need to be crushed and torn to prevent jamming
  • All rigid plastic containers, milk, juice, soft drink and detergent bottles
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Newspapers, magazines, paper and telephone books
  • Aerosol, aluminium and steel cans
