Are you an experienced communications professional, seeking to take the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity exists for a  fixed term full time Senior Communications Officer to join our Corporate, Governance and Financial Services Directorate, based in Moranbah for a six (6) month period.

Reporting to the Manager - Brand, Media and Communications, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for the delivery of effective marketing and communication programs which enhance the public profile of Isaac Regional Council.

The preferred candidate will hold relevant communications qualifications in addition to demonstrable experience within the fields of communications, media and/or marketing. Previous working experience within public relations teams will be highly regarded.

For this position we offer:

  • Salary $77,853.20 - $88,030.20 per annum & negotiated on experience
  • Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro rata
  • 12% super (in accordance with policy)
  • RDO’s in accordance with Council policy
