Clermont Water Restrictions Update, Level 1 Effective from 17 December 2020

Isaac Regional Council wishes to advise the Clermont community that the current Level 2 water restrictions have been lowered to Level 1 in Clermont, effective immediately from Thursday, 17 December 2020.

An interim Level 1 water restriction trigger level of 2.1 metres below the spillway of Theresa Creek Dam (TCD) has been adopted.  The immediate introduction of Level 1 water restrictions is to facilitate a transition to the interim Level 1 trigger level.

In 2020, Council conducted a robust investigation into water restriction trigger levels to deliver a sustainable and reliable water supply to Clermont from TCD.

A consultant was engaged to undertake this assessment and Council has received some preliminary data.

Following the finalisation of the investigative report, Council will be seeking to amend the Water Restriction Trigger Levels Guideline for Theresa Creek Dam in early 2021.  Level 1 restrictions will remain in effect until this occurs or Clermont receives significant rainfall.

Council is committed to providing the Clermont community with further updates as more information becomes available.

Residents will soon receive a notice in their letterbox and will also be updated through Council’s website and Facebook page.

We encourage residents to share this important message with their families, friends, workmates and neighbours.

If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
