Urban Design Framework

The Urban Design Frameworks should be used as a resource and guide when preparing development applications that are to be assessed against the Isaac Region Planning Scheme 2021.
Isaac Regional Council's Community Plan clearly identified town beautification and progressive economic development as priorities for the region. In response, Isaac Regional Council is rolling out Urban Design Frameworks for each of its towns with plans already developed for Clermont and Dysart.
The Frameworks reflect community aspirations and principals of good urban design to guide the development over the next decade and beyond. It facilitates the development of a more attractive, enriching and vibrant public realm to ultimately support enterprise and improve lifestyle and liveability.
It is anticipated that new development in the towns of Clermont and Dysart shall be consistent with the Frameworks, Applicants preparing development applications for infill development should ensure their development complements and builds upon the public infrastructure being provided by Council.
For further information see the plans below or contact Council and ask to speak to the Economic Development team.
