Isaac Regional Council is offering exciting opportunities to become a part of our dynamic Corporate, Governance & Financial Services (CGFS) directorate. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us as full-time or part-time Payroll Officers.

ABOUT THE ROLES
Reporting to the Coordinator - Payroll & Benefits the positions are responsible for effective and accurate payroll processing services across Isaac Regional Council.

FULL TIME

  • Salary: $79,607.52 - $86,736.17 per annum + Locality Allowance
  • Permanent Full Time Hours: 72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday
  • Rostered Days Off (RDOs): As per IRC’s Certified Agreement

PART TIME

  • Salary: $42.23 - $46.01 per hour + Locality Allowance
  • Part Time Hours: Negotiable for the right candidate
  • Fixed Term Contract: 18 months until 30 November 2026

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a high-level payroll processing environment
  • Preferred Background: Experience in local government is advantageous but not essential
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of awards/certified agreement interpretation and payroll processing legislation
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite and financial information systems
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Business or Finance are highly regarded
