Where is the event?

St Lawrence is located approximately 155 km south of Mackay, 177 km north of Rockhampton, and 6 km east of the Bruce Highway. The main events will be held at two venues in St Lawrence:

• St Lawrence Recreation Grounds, 624 St Lawrence Connection Road, St Lawrence.

• St Lawrence Sports Grounds, 1 Railway Parade, St Lawrence.

 

Is there a bus or shuttle service?

Yes, a bus service is available to the event precinct, providing transportation from various town locations at different times. Additionally, a free return bus service from Mackay to St Lawrence is available for a day trip to the festival on Saturday, 28 June 2025.

This bus departs from:

  • Mackay Entertainment Centre258 Alfred Street
    Mackay
  • Departure time: 7am

Stopping at:

  • Sarina Field of Dreams (7.40am)
  • Cape Palmerston Holiday Park (8.20am)
  • Carmila Service Station (8.40am)
  • BarraCrab Caravan Park in Clairview. (9.15am)

The return trip departs St Lawrence at 4pm on the same day.

What accommodation options are available for the event?

• Accommodation in nearby towns such as Clairview, Carmila, and Ilbilbie, all within a short drive

 

What food options are available at the event?

There will be a variety of signature food experiences available for booking, along with food trucks and other casual options.
Local community groups will be serving dishes featuring local seafood and bush delicacies, as well as breakfast.

The St Lawrence Hotel and the General Store at St Lawrence also offer food options.
An ATM is available at the St Lawrence Hotel for public use.

 

 

 

What accessibility options are available at the event?

The festival takes place on large, open recreational grounds, and some terrain may be uneven.
Accessible toilets are available within the event precinct.
A baby change room and accessible toilet are also located at:

  • St Lawrence Centenary Hall
    7 Railway Parade
  • Sports grounds

St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend welcomes attendees of all ages and abilities.

Is there a first aid tent?

Yes, first aid services are located at the Event Information Tent. Please refer to the event program map for the exact location.

Smoking and alcohol

Alcohol will be available for purchase and must be consumed within designated licensed areas. BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited.

• Smoking is banned in several outdoor and public areas across Queensland, including:

• Within 10 metres of campsites and public facilities

• Within 5 metres of non-residential building entrances

• Within 10 metres of children’s outdoor playground equipment

• Within 5 metres of commercial outdoor eating and drinking areas

Can I volunteer?

Yes! If you're interested in volunteering, please register online via the ticketing platform.
Event staff will contact you for further information.
Confirmed volunteers will receive a general admission ticket for the weekend.

 

Types of tickets

GENERAL ADMISSION 

General Admission tickets provide entry to all three days of the event from:

5:00 pm Friday, 27 June 2025, to
1:00 pm Sunday, 29 June 2025.

Ticket categories include:

  • Adults (18+)
  • Children (5+) -  children under 5 (free)
  • Local resident concession 
    Residents of postcode 4707 – discounted tickets available from:

  • New this year: One-day General Admission tickets for are also available for both adults and children, valid for entry on any single day between Friday and Sunday. 

CAMPING AND CARAVANNING TICKETS 

Camping and caravanning tickets are sold separately from general admission.
One camping ticket includes one campsite for one vehicle, accommodating up to six people at the St Lawrence Recreation Grounds, 593 St Lawrence Connection Road.

Check-out by 10am Sunday, 29 June 2025

Camping options include: One night, two nights, three nights and four nights (includes a fifth night free). 

 

 

What if I buy a ticket and cannot attend or the event is cancelled?

Booking Protect offers optional refund protection, administered independently from the event organiser.
This service covers refunds in case of illness, injury, or other valid circumstances (as per the Localtix terms and conditions).
In the unlikely event of a cancellation due to Force Majeure, tickets will be refunded, and sales will cease.

Camping and campsites

IS THERE POWER AT THE CAMPSITES, AND ARE GENERATORS ALLOWED? 

All campsites are unpowered. Generators are permitted but must be turned off by 10pm. 

IS WATER AVAILABLE AT THE CAMPSITE? 

Drinking, shower, and cooking water are available. However, there is no facility to provide water directly to individual campsites. It’s recommended to fill your van’s water tank before arriving, as potable water is not available for filling caravans onsite. 

WHAT AMENITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CAMPSITE? 

• Toilets

• Caravan dump point at the St Lawrence Recreation Grounds and Carmila Beach, 1 Esplanade, Carmila (72 km north)

LIGHTING OR MAINTAINING A FIRE
All fires must:

• Be enclosed in a fireplace that prevents the escape of embers

• Be no larger than 1 metre in any direction

• Be in a cleared area with no branches overhead

• Be at least 3 metres from tents or flammable equipment

• Be always attended while lit

IS THERE A STORE TO BUY SUPPLIES?
Yes. Supplies can be purchased at:

• The General Store, 13 Railway Parade, St Lawrence

• St Lawrence Hotel, 23 Railway Parade, St Lawrence

 

 

 

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend is pet-friendly.
Pets must be leashed at all times and are not permitted at ticketed signature food experience events.
