The Isaac Youth Action Group is a unique leadership opportunity that gives you the voice and support to create a meaningful impact. As a member of the Youth Action Group, you will collaborate with peers to launch and run youth-led projects that enhance life in the Isaac region.

Across the journey this year, you’ll be fully supported by Future Anything and the Isaac Council as you develop a high level of expertise as a leader, and a set of skills to set you up for future personal and professional success. This is your chance to challenge yourself, have a positive influence, and launch change in your community.

An expression of interest form will be provided on this webpage, with submissions opening on the 20th of May. 

Isaac Youth Action Group EOI - Future Anything

Who can be involved?

If you reside in the Isaac region and are a young person in Grades 9-12, you are eligible to apply for this exciting opportunity. Previous leadership experience or work in the community is not required. If you have a desire to make a difference and be a contributing member of the team – we’d love to hear from you! 

What is the time commitment?

The time commitment for being a member of the Youth Action Group is, at minimum, two hours per fortnight. The key stages of the role are:

Develop Project Ideas

In the last week of Term 2 and the first two weeks of Term 3, YAG members will work with a Future Anything facilitator over three online sessions to select and refine project ideas from the Youth Summit that can be implemented.

Presentation to Council Day

On 30 July, YAG members will present their project ideas for the year to the Isaac Council for feedback, advice, and guidance.

Implement Projects

From August to November, YAG members will work together to implement projects that enhance life in the Isaac region! You’ll be supported through fortnightly online sessions with Future Anything and staff from Council.

 

How can I apply?

Applications will be open from Tuesday 20 May – Thursday 29 May via the expression of interest form. Applications will be followed by a friendly interview to further understand your interest in the role. 

The best way to learn more about the Youth Action Group is by attending the Isaac Youth Summit on 20 May with your school. If you’re unable to attend the Summit, you can still apply from 20 May.
