Event Highlights
The 2026 St Lawrence Wetlands Festival once again showcased its place as one of the region’s signature events, welcoming more than 1,700 visitors to St Lawrence for a vibrant celebration of food, art, culture and environment.
Drawing visitors from across the Mackay–Isaac–Central Queensland region, as well as interstate visitors from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, the festival continues to build its reputation as a regional tourism attraction, bringing visitors into the St Lawrence community and wider Isaac region.
With more than 300 camping and glamping sites sold out, a diverse program of activities and highly popular signature food experiences including the Matt Golinski Signature Luncheon, Cooking with One Hungry Mumma and Glen Barratt’s Whispers of the Wetlands High Tea, the festival offered visitors a memorable opportunity to stay, explore and experience the unique character of St Lawrence.
The continued strong visitation and broad regional reach reflect the festival’s growing reputation as a signature event for the region and an important contributor to the local visitor economy.
