Clermont Museum and Historic Nebo Museum

At this time, the Clermont Museum and Historic Nebo Museum are unable to accept object donations as we are focused on improving the care and management of our existing collection. Many items require preservation, and cataloguing is still in progress to ensure they are properly documented and cared for. We are actively working through a Collection Management Plan with guidance from Queensland Museum, and once key recommendations have been implemented, we will review the moratorium on donations. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work towards preserving our region’s history more effectively.

The Clermont Museum celebrates the rich and diverse heritage of Clermont, Copperfield, and Blair Athol, with an emphasis on settler, mining, and agricultural histories.

Copperfield Store

483 Rubyvale Road, Clermont 4721

The original Copperfield Store building was opened in 1860, and was replaced in 1927 with a new building.

Copperfield Chimney

532 Rubyvale Road, Clermont 4721

The Copperfield Chimney is the last remaining chimney from the Peak Downs Smelter, and evidence of the roasting ovens can be seen at the base of the chimney.

Broadsound Centenary Pavilion (St Lawrence)
