Where is the event?

St Lawrence is located approximately 155 km south of Mackay, 177 km north of Rockhampton, and 6 km east of the Bruce Highway.

The St Lawrence Wetlands Festival will be held at St Lawrence Recreation Grounds, 624 St Lawrence Connection Road, St Lawrence.

What are the accommodation options?

Camping

Camp and caravan sites at the recreation grounds are available for purchase. These sites have the following amenities available:

  • Toilets
  • Showers
  • Barbecues
  • Picnic tables

All campsites are unpowered. Generators are permitted 8am - 8pm.

Dump points are located at the St Lawrence Recreation Grounds and Carmila Beach, 1 Esplanade, Carmila (72 km north).

No camping gear? No worries.

We are working closely with Koinmerburra to provide the following camping hire options:

  • 4-6-man tents $200
  •  6-8-man tents: $250
  •  Double swags: $100
  •  Single swags (with or without camp bed): $50 (camp bed is extra)
  •  Single blow-up mattress: $15
  •  Double blow-up mattress: $30
  •  Camp lights with fan: $10
  •  Camp chairs: $20

These will be available for set up on Friday, 3 July 2026.

What food options are available?

There will be a variety food experiences to enjoy at the festival:

  • Community groups and food trucks will offer a range of flavors and cuisines on-site.
  • Coffee vans to get your caffeine fix.
  • Water and soft drinks available for purchase on site.
  • Matt Golinski’s Signature Luncheon (ticketed event) Get in quick; this must-do event sells fast!

What should I bring?

We recommend you pack:

  • Esky with enough ice for the weekend
  • Reusable water bottle (fill up from the free water stations throughout the site) 
  • Plenty of drinking water to keep at camp 
  • Sun protection – hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrella 
  • Clothes for all conditions – hot, cold, and wet 
  • Shoes for all conditions 
  • Rubbish bags for your camp – this is a no-trace event 
  • Camping gear – tent (make sure you have all the pegs and poles), tarps, and ropes
  • Bedding – mattress, pillow, sleeping bag 
  • Torch / headlamp 
  • Towel and toiletries 
  • Insect repellent 
  • Event tickets

Is water available to campers?

Water is not provided directly to campsites. Please fill your caravan’s water tank before arriving, as potable water is not available.

Is the event accessible?

The festival takes place on large, open recreational grounds, and some terrain may be uneven.

Accessible toilets are available within the event precinct.

A baby change room and accessible toilet are also located at St Lawrence Centenary Hall, 7 Railway Parade, and at the St Lawrence Sports Grounds.

Is there a first aid tent?

Yes, first aid services are located at the Event Information Tent. Please refer to the event program’s map for the exact location.

Can I smoke at the festival?

Smoking is banned in several outdoor and public areas across Queensland, including:

  • Within 10 metres of campsites and public facilities
  • Within 5 metres of non-residential building entrances
  • Within 10 metres of children’s outdoor playground equipment
  • Within 5 metres of commercial outdoor eating and drinking areas
  • Dispose your butts in suitable receptacles

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Alcohol will be available for purchase and must be consumed within designated licensed areas. Bar will be open from 10am to late.

BYO drinks only at your camp site.

 

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, St Lawrence Wetlands Festival is pet-friendly.

Pets must be leashed at all times and are not permitted at the Matt Golinski Signature Luncheon or on Walking/Bus tours. 

Can I light a fire?

You may light a fire, however all fires must:

  • Be enclosed in a fireplace that prevents embers escaping
  • Be no larger than 1 metre in any direction
  • Be in a cleared area with no branches overhead
  • Be at least 3 metres from tents/caravans or flammable equipment
  • Be always attended while lit

BYO firewood.

What if I buy a ticket and cannot attend or the event is cancelled?

Booking Protect offers optional refund protection, administered independently from the event organiser.

This service covers refunds in case of illness, injury, or other valid circumstances (as per the Localtix terms and conditions).

GENERAL ADMISSION

General Admission tickets provide you with event entry (camping is not included).

3-day and 1-day passes are available for adults, children and families.

CAMPING TICKETS

Camping tickets are sold separately from general admission tickets. One camping ticket includes one campsite for one vehicle, accommodating up to six people. Check-in from 9am Thursday 2 July 2026. and check-out by 1pm Sunday 5 July 2026.
