Moranbah 2024 Australia Day

We're still celebrating Australia Day

This year, the Moranbah Australia Day awards ceremony and citizenship ceremony has been moved to the Moranbah State High School Hall for the first time. This is a free family friendly event with canapés and entertainment for all. This Isaac Regional Council event is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council. The Moranbah event is one of nine events being held around the region this year. It has been moved a day early to assist in the logistical and staffing challenges associated with delivering nine events across a region the size of Tasmania.   

We’ve got some wet weather contingency plans in place.

The water slide inflatable events scheduled for this Australia Day have been cancelled because mother nature had other plans. The forecasts say it’s too windy and rainy to bounce around on awesome inflatables.

We are just as disappointed as you are but the safety of our community and staff is top priority.
