Hybrid ballot councils

Electoral Commission Queensland has informed Isaac Regional Council a hybrid ballot system for the 2024 Council Election.

  • Division 1  - full postal ballot
  • Divisions 2, 3 and 6 - attendance voting
  • Divisions 4, 5, 7 and 8 - electors in these divisions will not be required to vote as both the mayor and councillor are unopposed.

Do you live in a full postal or hybrid ballot council area?

Depending on where you live, your voting arrangements may be different for the upcoming council elections.

  • Division 1 electors will vote by post which means you’ll be automatically sent postal voting materials.
  • Division 2, 3, and 6 electors will need to vote in-person before or on election day on Saturday 16 March or apply for a postal vote (apply before 7pm on 4 March).
  • Division 4, 5, 7 and 8 electors are not required to vote as both the mayor and councillors are unopposed.
