We are looking for a motivated Trainee to join our Business Services team in Moranbah within the Water and Waste Directorate.

This Directorate is an integrated, multifaceted service provider responsible for managing and maintaining safe, quality water supply, reliable wastewater collection and treatment services, and waste management functions and operations for Isaac Regional Council communities. These services are managed in alignment with regulatory and legislative requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Successfully complete a Certificate IV in Business with an accredited training provider within the term of employment;
  • Learn and develop administration skills and use those skills to provide quality support to Council
  • Be a part of a multi-disciplinary team that services the employees of Isaac Regional Council
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support within the Water and Waste Directorate

What we offer:

  • Full Time 72.5 hours per fortnight
  • Fixed Term: 24 Months
  • On the job training 
  • RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
  • Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in business and administration, the ability to adapt and work in multi-disciplinary teams, strong written and verbal communication skills, initiative and the ability to complete duties to a high standard. Current QLD Driver’s Licence would be highly regarded.
