Step into the role of Treatment Plant Supervisor South and lead work that truly keeps our communities running. As part of Isaac Regional Council’s Water and Waste Directorate, you’ll help safeguard the delivery of safe, high quality water and reliable wastewater services across our region. In this pivotal position, you’ll oversee day to day operations across multiple treatment plants and storage facilities, ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence. With the flexibility to live in Middlemount, Dysart or Clermont, this role offers both lifestyle choice and meaningful responsibility. To be successful in this position, you will:
- Hold mandatory qualifications including a C Class Driver Licence, Construction White Card, and Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (water & wastewater).
- Bring demonstrated supervisory experience in water and wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Possess strong knowledge of safety, environmental and legislative requirements relevant to water and wastewater treatment.
- Confidently allocate workflows, resources and priorities to meet operational, safety and compliance outcomes.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in analysing and diagnosing treatment results, process deviations and system alarms.
- Provide supportive, effective leadership through coaching and developing Operators, Assistants and Trainees.
- Communicate clearly with strong written and verbal communication skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor and respond to SCADA alarms, system failures and deviations, applying timely risk mitigation actions.
- Coordinate and oversee asset maintenance, inspections, audits and reporting to meet operational and legislative requirements.
- Be willing to travel between sites, participate in an on‑call roster, undergo required vaccinations, and successfully complete pre‑employment medical and functional assessments.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive:
- Salary $97,373.54 - $100,831.88 per annum
- Subsidised Council housing for just $80 per week in either Middlemount, Dysart or Clermont
- Limited Private Use Vehicle
- Nominally 38 hours per week
- 5 weeks annual leave per annum @ 17.5% loading
- 15 days personal leave per annum
- Up to 14.5% superannuation in accordance with Council Policy
