An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Plant Operator to join our Infrastructure Services team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Team Leader, you will assist with the coordination, integration, and delivery of services, including the construction, maintenance, and operational delivery of vehicles, plant, and equipment across the region. This position offers variety, working on projects that support our communities, including remote area work.
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role.
- Possess knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general maintenance and associated procedures.
- Be capable of undertaking general labouring duties as required.
- Hold a Construction White Card and a C Class Open Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Have a minimum HR Licence (HC, or MC highly regarded). Please ensure your licence details are included in your application.
- Hold relevant certifications for operating vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment functional assessment.
- Be willing to work in remote areas, including camping out when required.
- An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety within the work environment.
- Be willing to upskill and gain experience operating additional plant and equipment.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive:
- Salary $67,578.63 – 71,319.68 per annum (dependent on skills and ability) plus allowances

> Construction Workers Allowance
- Nominally 38 hours per week (3 x 10-hour days and 1 x 8-hour day, Monday – Thursday)
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14.5% superannuation in accordance with Council Policy
