Isaac Regional Council is seeking a motivated and qualified permanent full-time Carpenter to join our Infrastructure Services Directorate within the Isaac Region.
This exciting role provides the opportunity to work with the assistance of a carpenter apprentice, who you will mentor and develop through to successful completion of their trade certificate. Reporting to the Team Leader - Trades Services, this position is responsible for carrying out maintenance of Council properties across the Isaac Regional Council.
Travel around the region is a perk of the role, as our Council assets span across St Lawrence, Nebo, Dysart, Middlemount, Clermont, Glenden and Moranbah. Overnight accommodation and allowances will be provided as required.
About You:
- Relevant carpentry trade qualifications.
- Previous demonstrated experience, preferably Local Government.
- Australian C Class Open driver’s licence.
- Construction Blue/White card.
- Relevant QBCC/BSA licence (desirable).
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Salary and Benefits:

- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight;
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
