About the role
The Apprentice Plumber will be part of our Water and Waste Directorate in Middlemount. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople while working toward a Certificate III in Plumbing (Water and Waste) over a 4-year apprenticeship.
Your apprenticeship will see you:
• Learn to install, maintain, and repair water and wastewater systems.
• Work on essential plumbing infrastructure across the Isaac region.
• Gain experience using plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.
• Follow safe work practices and industry standards.
• Receive on-the-job training and mentoring to complete your qualification.
The role at a glance
Type: Fixed Term – 4 years
Hours: Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
Roster: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight (enjoy those long weekends!)
Who we’re looking for
This apprenticeship is open to all ages and backgrounds – what matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You’ll thrive in this role if you:
• Have a positive attitude and enjoy hands-on, practical work.
• Can follow instructions and work safely as part of a team.
• Are committed to completing your apprenticeship training.
• Have completed Year 10 or higher.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and Construction White Card (or be willing to obtain)
