Isaac Regional Council is looking for a fixed-term, full-time Engaged Communities Program Assistant to join our team in the Isaac Region.
As the Engaged Communities Programs Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of community life across the Isaac Region. Working closely with our Departmental Administration Officer and a passionate team, you’ll help deliver engaging programs, events, and services that bring people together and enrich lives.
About the Role:
As an Engaged Communities Programs Assistant, you will:
- Support the delivery of programs and events for children, youth, adults, and seniors.
- Engage directly with community members to foster connection and participation.
- Assist with planning and implementing community development initiatives.
- Promote Council services and events across the region.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with resource management.
- Travel across the Isaac Region and occasionally work outside standard hours
Benefits:
- Salary $75,408.61 per annum (Stream A, Level 2)
- Fixed Term Position ceasing January 2026
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading

About you:
- Experience: Previous experience in community-facing roles (e.g., libraries, galleries, community centres).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office; digital tech skills highly regarded.
- Communication: Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Mandatory Requirements: C Class Open Australian Driver’s Licence and Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
