The Isaac Regional Charity Fund has donated $100,000 from the 2025 Mayor’s Charity Ball with funds to be shared evenly between Country Universities Centre Isaac (CUC Isaac) and CQ Rescue.

Held at the newly refreshed Isaac Events Centre, this year’s black-tie ball brought together industry, business, and community for an unforgettable night raising vital funds for two charities that make a real difference across the region.

Isaac Mayor and Charity Fund Chair Kelly Vea Vea said the event showed the strength of community, industry and businesses coming together for the right reasons.

“This funding stays here, in our towns, supporting our people. CUC Isaac helps our young people study close to home, stay connected to their community and build their future here. CQ Rescue is there on our hardest days, when families need them most. These are the services that support our regional communities,” Mayor Vea Vea said.

Country University Centre Chair Melissa Westcott said the recent contribution builds on an already strong partnership with the Isaac Regional Charity Fund Mayor’s Charity Ball. “This is not just a donation, it’s an investment in local futures. It will help more students study here at home, close to family, work and community. We are very grateful for the support and proud to be part of a region that backs education and backs its people.”

More than 350 guests attended the event, which featured live entertainment, auctions, raffles and a celebration of the people and industries that keep Isaac moving.

Mayor Vea Vea thanked sponsors, partners, and guests for their generosity and ongoing support.

“Every year our community steps up and this year was no different. Whether it’s through donations, sponsorships or buying a ticket, everyone who took part has helped make our region stronger,” she said.

The 2025 Mayor’s Charity Ball was proudly supported by Event Partners: Brown & Bird, King & Company Solicitors, Isaac Regional Council, Anglo American, BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), Broadmeadow Mine, Iberdrola Australia, Peabody Energy Australia Coal, Pembroke Olive Downs Complex, Stanmore Coal and Vitrinite.
