Bore installation, Forrest Drive, Moranbah

Council advises residents and road users that bore drilling works will be undertaken near the Moranbah Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Forrest Drive, Moranbah.

From Thursday, 17 September 2026 to Saturday, 19 September 2026
7am to 5pm

The works are required to install groundwater monitoring bores as part of Council's ongoing monitoring and management of the Moranbah Wastewater Treatment Plant.

During the works, residents and road users in the vicinity may experience:

  • Increased noise from drilling equipment and associated machinery.
  • Some dust generated by drilling and vehicle movements.
  • Increased movement of construction vehicles and equipment in the area.
  • Minor temporary disruptions around the work area.

The contractor will take reasonable measures to minimise dust, noise and other impacts during the works. Appropriate dust suppression and site management measures will be implemented where required.

Road users are asked to take care when approaching the work area and follow all temporary traffic controls and signage.
