Council advises that Level 1 Water Restrictions remain in place in St Lawrence until further notice due to ongoing high water consumption.

These restrictions are necessary to help protect the town's water supply and ensure water remains available for essential needs.

Council thanks St Lawrence residents for their patience and cooperation during this time.

Key restrictions:

  • No outdoor watering between 9am and 5pm.
  • Outdoor watering is only permitted between 5am to 9am and 5pm to 9pm on designated watering days.
  • Odd-numbered properties (and properties without a street number): Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Even-numbered properties: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Residents and businesses are reminded to use water responsibly and comply with the current restrictions.

However, due to ongoing high water consumption, Level 1 Water Restrictions will remain in place until further notice to help protect the town's water supply.

  • Outdoor watering is only permitted between 5am to 9am and 5pm to 9pm on designated watering days.

Council advises that the water leaks in St Lawrence have now been repaired.

However, due to the raw water levels at St Lawrence Weir, Level 1 Water Restrictions will remain in place until further notice to help protect the town's water supply.

Key restrictions:

  • No outdoor watering between 9am and 5pm.
  • Outdoor watering is only permitted between 5am to 9am and 5pm to 9pm on designated watering days.
  • Odd-numbered properties (and properties without a street number): Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Even-numbered properties: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Residents and businesses are reminded to use water responsibly and comply with the current restrictions.

St Lawrence residents are advised that a full outdoor water use ban remains in place until further notice.

Council has identified that water use in the township is currently exceeding the amount of water that can be produced due to a leak in the water supply system or high water usage.

To make sure residents continue to have water available from their taps, Council is trucking additional water into St Lawrence every day.

This water meets Australian drinking water safety standards and remains safe to drink and use for normal household purposes.

While Council is bringing in extra water to maintain supplies, we are asking all residents to conserve water wherever possible.

OUTDOOR WATER USE BAN

Residents are asked to:

  • Do not use sprinklers
  • Do not use hand-held hoses
  • Do not wash vehicles
  • Do not fill swimming pools or spas
  • Avoid all other non-essential outdoor water use

HELP US FIND LEAKS

Council has identified leaks at the sports ground and cattle yards. The sites are being monitored to determine whether any further investigation is required.

If you notice a leak, please contact Council immediately on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).

Council is trucking additional water into the community to meet demand, but it is essential that residents help conserve water to maintain supply levels while investigations continue.
