Capital works, Cooroora Creek Bridge replacement, Middlemount

Isaac Regional Council advises residents of upcoming capital works for the replacement of the Cooroora Creek Bridge, Mt Stuart Bedford Weir Road near Middlemount from:

Tuesday, 6 May 2025 to Friday, 31 October 2025
6am to 6pm Monday to Saturday
Weather permitting

These works will begin with the installation of a sidetrack to facilitate traffic movement during construction.

Upon completion of the sidetrack, load restrictions will be enforced. The sidetrack will accommodate vehicles up to 19m B-double configurations, but it is not designed for larger vehicles such as road trains.

Bridge construction will take place between Tuesday, 27 May and is expected to be completed by Friday, 31 October 2025. During this period, all traffic will be directed to the sidetrack, with load restrictions remaining in effect.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to maintain caution during these works, drive to conditions and to abide by traffic management plans in place.

This project has been funded by the Australian Government in partnership with Isaac Regional Council.
