Isaac Regional Council advises residents of upcoming capital works between Curtin Street and Industrial Avenue, Moranbah, as part of the Goonyella Road Industrial Land Activation Project from:

Tuesday, 18 November 2025 to Saturday, 30 May 2026
6am to 6pm Monday to Saturday
Weather permitting

This project is working to activate currently unused industrial land by:

  • Extending Goonyella Service Road
  • Construction of a new intersection at Goonyella Road and Goonyella Service Road
  • The relocation of a water fill point
  • Construction of a new access intersection for existing industrial users

Upon completion, the construction works aim to improve safety and traffic flow along Goonyella Road.

Whilst these works may impact travel time and cause disruption to regular travel, Council will endeavour to minimise inconvenience and keep the community informed with regular updates.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to maintain caution during these works, drive to conditions and to follow traffic management directions.

The project was proudly funded by the Australian Government Roads to Recovery Program in partnership with Isaac Regional Council.
