Clermont Water Supply, Conservation measures remain in place

Clermont Water conservation measures remain in place and residents are asked to continue using water wisely.

The water in the taps is safe to drink. 

Water tanked and bottled water are still available at Clermont Library, 24 Herschel St, Clermont Queensland 4721.

Council would like to thank the Clermont community for its outstanding response to ongoing water conservation measures.

Through your efforts, water consumption has been significantly reduced, allowing Council to continue replenishing Clermont’s water supply.

While there is currently water available within the system, supplies will be impacted if water use goes back to normal levels while treatment plant works are ongoing.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO CONSERVE WATER - ESSENTIAL WATER USE ONLY

Residents are requested to:

  • Cease watering lawns, gardens or plants
  • Flush toilets only when necessary
  • Only shower or bathe if essential
  • Avoid all non-essential water use, including washing vehicles and other discretionary activities

CLERMONT WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK

Clermont’s water is safe for drinking and household use. Council has been monitoring the water quality throughout the town, and it remains within the requirements and quality standards of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

TANKER AND BOTTLED WATER ARE AVAILABLE

Tanker and bottled water are available for community use while conservation measures continue, please visit the Clermont Library, 24 Herschel St, Clermont QLD 4721 if you require water.

Using tanker and bottled water allows Council to effectively replenish water reserves.

Council understands interruptions to water services are inconvenient and appreciates the community's patience and cooperation whileworks are undertaken.

Residents are encouraged to monitor Council's website and social media channels for updates.
