Council is inviting Middlemount and Mackenzie River residents to have their say and submit name suggestions for the new bridge over Cooroora Creek.

Submitting your suggestion is easy, just head over to our website and get your name in by TUESDAY, 12 MAY 2026:

Tips for suggesting a name:

  • Names should reflect local history, culture or geographic features
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander names with cultural significance are encouraged
  • Names must be respectful and unique
  • Naming after living persons or businesses is generally not permitted
