BATTERIES AND BATTERY-POWERED ITEMS

Please do not place batteries or items containing batteries (such as e-scooters, power tools, vacuums) into flood bins. These materials can ignite and cause fires in bins, trucks, or at the landfill, creating serious risks for the community and Council staff.

Please remove batteries from these items and take all batteries to the Clermont Waste Management Facility for free disposal.

BIN WEIGHT LIMITS

Council’s collection trucks cannot lift bins weighing more than 75kg. Overloaded bins will not be emptied.

To make sure your bin can be collected:

  • Empty water before adding waste.
  • Bag wet grass clippings.
  • Keep bin lids closed to stop rainwater collecting.

SKIP BIN USE

Please do not overfill skip bins or leave waste around them, as this stops them from being safely accessed or emptied.

To help keep things moving:

  • Fill skip bins only to the marked level, no items should protrude above the rim.
  • Please keep flood waste at least 3 metres away from the base of the skip bins to ensure our waste management team can safely access and collect them.

Council thanks the community for their continuing efforts as we work together to ensure clean-up continues safely.

If you require further information, please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227), or alternatively email records@isaac.qld.gov.au.
