Isaac region upcoming water meter read information
Published on 15 May 2026
Isaac Regional Council’s water meter readers will begin reading meters at properties across the Isaac region to measure household water consumption for upcoming water notices.
To ensure the charges are accurate, efficient, and reliable, the water meter readings will take place across Isaac from:
18 May 2026 to 12 June 2026
6am to 6pm
Weather permitting
Water notices are scheduled to be sent to ratepayers in August 2026.
Ratepayers and tenants are to ensure that their water meters are clear from obstruction to allow access for staff as per Council’s Water and Sewerage Connections, Disconnections and Billing Policy, see water-and-sewerage-connections-disconnections-and-billing-policy-corp-pol-085.pdf for more details.
All meter-reading contractors will carry official Council identification. Authorisation to undertake the water meter reads is under Section 37 of the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.
Residents are encouraged to sign up to receive water consumption information through MiWater, a free water consumption monitoring tool. Email and SMS alerts can be set and residents can be notified of water leaks and high consumption within days of occurrence, see www.isaac.qld.gov.au/MiWater for more details.
