Isaac Regional Council wishes to advise Moranbah residents of sewer network Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection and associated relining works which are due to commence on 28 July 2026 and continue through until November 2026, in strategically identified locations.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

  • Council has engaged the contractor Relining Solutions Pty Ltd to undertake the rehabilitation works of the sewer gravity mains/pipelines by structurally relining the interior of the pipelines for extending their service life.
  • The works will be completed in stages and include the pre-cleaning and CCTV investigation of the underground pipelines, followed by structural relining of portions of the sewer gravity network by trenchless installation.
  • The works will take place within both residential and commercial properties, requiring only outdoor access to existing public sewer lines and manhole networks. Affected property owners will receive prior written notification delivered to their mailboxes.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

The works are scheduled to commence in Moranbah on 28 July 2026 and will continue through to November 2027.

Work hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am – 6pm
  • Saturday: 7am – 4pm
  • Sunday work will be limited to commercial and parkland areas from 8.30am to 4pm.

All work is weather permitting.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Council will be working closely with our contractors to minimise any impacts of these works on your daily routine.
  • The sewer network will be rehabilitated, as identified, by inserting new liners through existing manholes by trenchless methods.
  • Excavation or disruption of your sewerage service will not be necessary in majority of cases.
  • During this time, residents may experience an increase in noise and vehicle movement.
  • The Contractor will ensure appropriate safety, noise and environmental controls are in place and will endeavour to minimise any impact to the local community.
  • There should be no disruption to your water and wastewater services.

Note: Residents are requested to exercise caution around work areas, particularly where open manholes are present. For safety, please ensure children and pets do not access the work zones.

Thank you for your patience. For more information, please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227), or email records@isaac.qld.gov.au.
