Council advises Middlemount residents that fire control line grading works will be undertaken in and around the township from:
Thursday, 8 October to Monday, 12 October 2026
The works are being carried out in consultation with the Queensland Fire Department (QFD) as part of bushfire season preparedness and vegetation management activities.
For your safety, please remove any personal items located outside your property boundaries within the highlighted work areas and avoid entering these areas while works are underway.
Residents may experience some dust during the works. Council recommends keeping windows closed and avoiding hanging washing outside where possible.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
