Council advises residents that temporary road haulage of coal from the Vulcan Mine to the Moranbah North Mine will occur from:
Monday, 27 April 2026, for an estimated three‑week period.
Haulage will operate during day shift only, using 4 to 5 trucks, with approximately 15 truck movements per day in each direction.
Vehicles will maintain a minimum seven‑minute separation at the start of each shift.
Motorists are advised to maintain caution on the road during the works, drive to conditions and follow any directional signage in place at the site. Loose stones may be present during works, please drive with care.
Delays are expected, so please plan your journey accordingly.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.
