Council would like to advise Moranbah residents and businesses that Town Square Avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic and there will be no vehicle access for the Moranbah Miners' Memorial Ceremony on:
Friday, 6 November 2026 from 3pm to 9pm
The Town Square playgrounds will also be temporarily closed during this time.
Areas of Town Square will be closed to the public throughout the day to allow preparation of the memorial for the evening's observance. Pedestrians are asked to maintain their distance and follow all directional signage in place.
Vehicles parked in Town Square Avenue prior to the commencement of the road closure will still be able to exit as required under the direction of traffic controllers.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the community for its patience and cooperation.
