Saturday, 4 and Sunday, 5 July 2026
9am to 3pm
Monday 6 July 2026 (Contingency only, if required)
Weather permitting
These works involve the replacement of critical water main valves and associated fittings within the Glenden distribution network to improve the reliability, operation, and future maintenance of the town water supply system.
Works will begin at the corner of Usher Terrace and Atherton Crescent, progress to Dinang Crescent and Atherton Crescent, and conclude at Dinang Crescent and Stuart Terrace.
Residents are encouraged to store adequate drinking water prior to the shutdown.
A temporary drinking water fill point will be available at the Glenden Water treatment plant (99 Usher Street) to refill your supplies. Council will also provide 10L bottles of water at the Council office (251 Ewan Drive)
Public toilets adjacent to the town pool (21 Bell Place) will be open and operational during this time.
During the shutdown periods, the town water supply will be unavailable. Some minor discolouration or air in the water may occur when supply is restored. If you experience discoloured water, please run your taps until the water becomes clear.
Traffic management measures will be in place during these works. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to maintain caution on the road, drive to conditions and follow any directional signage in place.
