Temporary traffic changes, Sandy Creek Bridge, Clermont
Published on 13 January 2026
Isaac Regional Council advises Clermont residents of temporary traffic changes at Sandy Creek Bridge following recent flooding caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji.
Council crews have cleared debris from the bridge to allow a partial reopening.
Access update:
- The bridge is expected to reopen by 9.30am, Tuesday, 13 January 2026, to light vehicles (cars) and light trucks up to 12t GVM while water levels remain too high for a full structural inspection.
- A complete inspection, including the bridge’s substructure, will occur once water has receded sufficiently. The substructure is currently still underwater.
Council will provide further updates when the bridge is fully operational.
