Trial Cat Trapping, Moranbah Town Square

Council advises that a trial cat trapping program will be conducted in Moranbah Town Square until December 2026.

Access to Moranbah Town Square will remain open and unaffected throughout the program.

All captured cats will be assessed to determine ownership. Where appropriate, rehoming opportunities will be explored for unowned stray cats, with priority given to kittens.

During this trial program, residents are advised to

  • Not touch or interfere with any trapping equipment or cages.
  • Cat owners are encouraged to keep their cats contained on their property, particularly at night, during the program.
