Council wishes to advise residents that the Moranbah Waste Management Facility is now partially open as per below:

OPEN - Transfer Station

CLOSED - Landfill, greenwaste, scrap metal, mattresses, gassed and Degassed whitegoods

Council wishes to advise residents that the Moranbah Waste Management Facility is closed for the remainder of today,
Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
This closure
is due to current weather conditions.
Council personnel will continue to monitor the site and further updates will be provided.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.

Isaac Regional Council wishes to advise residents that the fire at the Moranbah Waste Management Facility has been contained, however, Council is continuing to monitor for any potential reignition.
Cleanup operations are underway.
For today, Tuesday, 28 October 2025 Moranbah Waste Management Facility cannot accept the following:
- Green waste
- Scrap metal
- Gassed white goods
- Degassed white goods
- Mattresses
Normal operations are expected to resume tomorrow: Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
