Council advises Carmila residents that due to ongoing issues at the Carmila Water Treatment Plant, all residents and businesses are asked to limit water use until further notice.

Supply is currently stable, but unnecessary use may affect the system.

Water is being trucked into Carmila and remains safe to drink, meeting Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

Customers outside the service area are encouraged to use alternative water sources where possible.

Cleaning and condition assessments of reservoirs and pipes are underway, with no expected disruptions to supply.

Council thanks you for your cooperation.

A further update will be provided at 4pm on Monday,15 June 2026.

Thank you for your patience. For more information, please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227), or email records@isaac.qld.gov.au.
