Council advises Dysart residents of public safety Hazard Reduction Burns in Dysart commencing from:

Tuesday, 14 July to Thursday, 16 July 2026 (weather permitting)

This work is being carried out by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development to control flammable vegetation prior to the bushfire season.

Please remove any personal items within the marked area as fire operations may cause damage to personal items.

  • Spring Cresent, Isaac Court and Queen Elizabeth Drive/Golden Mile Road.

Temporary road closures will be in place along Fisher Drive on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.

Please remove any personal items within the marked area as fire operations may cause damage to personal items.

Hazard reduction activities will be subject to prevailing weather conditions. Council advises residents to prepare for possible smoke hazards and related health impacts and recommends the following steps:

  • Keep all door and windows closed to prevent smoke entering homes.
  • Residents with breathing difficulties are advised to remain indoors and have any medication close by.
  • Refrain from hanging out washing to minimise damage from falling embers or smoke.
  • Retract pool covers and stow any outdoor furniture to prevent ember burns.
  • Be aware that snakes and other vermin may be on the move because of the burning bushland.
